The Nana Update

A very large thank you to all of you who sent comments & thoughts about The Nana.
The awesome Melody asked how The Nana was and I thought I should pop a lil' update on here.

The Nana went in yesterday morning and the surgery was promptly executed by the most amazing Dr. Theo beginning at 9am.

(P.S. How do you properly thank a man that saved The Nana?  I am still trying to find ways to do this.)

The Nana had 1 valve replacement and 2 leak repairs completed successfully and we were able to see her in the ICU ward at 3:00pm/3:30pm.  Her attending nurse said she was doing really well.

Today, we went to see Nana at around 11am and her breathing tube was out (a very nice sight to see).  She was extremely groggy and was drinking lots of water...and her colour impeccable.

My mum came down on the train from Kingston and will head back tomorrow.  I will be in the hospital everyday until The Nana is released.  I cannot wait for her to be well and mobile, but that will be a bit of a road.  A road that she has faced before whether it be her bypass 20 years ago or the two bouts of breast cancer she has deal with in the past 3 years.  What a trooper, to say the least.

Thank you again!  My Nana has endured with the help of your thoughts.
