Things I am loving now...

So, I made the pickled grapes. And I am not sure I would have actively pursued the task without Leya's encouragement. They are incredible and once you have popped one in your mouth, you'll be looking strangely at people when they curl their noses up at the mention of pickled grapes. The recipe is derived from the amazing book A Homemade Life: Stories and Recipes from My Kitchen Table by Molly Wizenberg. I am 20th in line to borrow this book from the local library, but I will just jump in with two feet and buy it. For the pickled grapes recipe, please go here. I must also add that while I made my two 1 litre jars of grapes, I made extra brine and added it to a jar of baby carrots and I am really liking the result. Unlike the grapes, I think the carrots need to sit for a while longer before eating.

I jumped on Get Outside Shoes (based in Toronto, Ontario) and....wow. I love shoes. I love handbags more, but I really love shoes.

I love these:

I located this Hamilton-based clothing store on Etsy. I love the cowl-necked shirts!

Frankie magazine is from Australia and super-expensive in our local Chapter's/Indigo stores, so I thought I would see if I could read online (yes, I can be cheap!) and sure enough it's there!

I am off to make more necklaces today and finish staining the Adirondack chairs. Before the week ends, I am really wanting to get into this. I have not made one of these since I was knee high to a grasshopper.

Have a rockin' day!
