Thought of the day...

So, after a long hiatus of refusing to read the news, I am back at it. I had to step away to avoid the depressing crap that haunts this world, day in, day out. On the flipside, I believe if you don't inform yourself, then you're ignorant to the world you live in and that can't be good either.

Lately, I read an article that said that "Googling" information is bad for your brain. Now, my opinion would be the opposite. I would believe that you would be more likely to expand your mind with the information you can get from Google. For instance, if I want to find the definition of a word, I Google it. If I want to know how chickens reproduce (which I once wanted know!), I Google it. Now I know what that word means and I know how chickens reproduce, etc.

Before the Internet, if we wanted to research items, we would have to go to our local library. Now, I love libraries, (Hamilton has one of the best library services) but they are not open 24-hours a day, 7 days a week and before they had the Internet, the information that was available was more than likely outdated.

That is my thought for the day. Now, if the article was about calculators turning our brains to mush, then I would have completely agreed.

Hope your day was a good one! Happy Googling!
