Topsy Turvy

Happy Saturday, all!
Today's post is about some tops that I love lately. I love clothes. I really, really do. But, I am a bargain shopper, so when I saw this little floral jacket at H&M over a month ago I had to tell myself no. You see, my wise Nana Smith told me that if you really think you love something, walk away for about 2 weeks and then re-evaluate how much you really love it. I really, really loved it. And it was $39.90...not too bad, but I think $10.00 would have been better! *wink, wink!*
The green wool cardigan was $1.00. I was instantly in love...the colour, the ribbon behind the buttons, the buttons...so cute. I bought it, brought it home and was a little sad to see that the knit had holes at each of the elbows. I never even noticed. My Ma Goddard allowed me to go through her extensive leather scrap collection (all I can say is "wow!"...two Rubbermaid containers full of leather & suede!), but I couldn't find anything that looked quite right. After a trip to Michael's I found these owl iron-on transfers for $1.50 each. I bought 3...2 to cover up the arm holes (which I stitched shut first) and one for the front. Now it's super cute! All for under $6.00! Yay!
I am off to re-arrange the studio. I need a change. I am super bored with it and I think with a little shuffling and organizing, I will be more apt to work in there! Before and after pics are in order for this job.
Happy weekend!

Those little owls look perfect on that sweater!
Good luck with the studio organizng:)
I've been working on mine alot lately as well, seems to always become the spot for the things that don't fit in the rest of the apartment... trying very hard to not let that be the case!

I seem to congregate my stuff in here, too.

And you know, we have a basement but it seems SO hard to go down there! *wink!* I finally moved a bunch of things down there. And I have a HUGE workspace that my mum-in-law was kind enough to donate to me that was in the middle of the small roon, but put it against a wall...I LOVE it! I will post pics probably tomorrow! Yay!

I founf the room so repulsive to be in, that I never wanted to create anything in it...and now it's fresh and new! Just like spring...

P.S. Thanks for the compliments on the sweater! I feel a little guilty...it was almost too easy! Hee, hee!
