Transformations

While I wait to hear about the status of my Nana's angioplasty, I paint. And I painted. And painted some more.

I wish I had thought to take a picture of the pool table cover before giving it an update, but it was a dark icky blue colour. Cecilia (dog) thought you should know that her cat pal, Molly, was yelled at repeatedly to not think about jumping onto the cover from the small set of steps nearby.

This table/cupboard was picked up by yours truly at a yard sale probably around six years ago. The top had smiley faces drawn in black permanent marker drawn by a young child. What made me smile is that in pencil was "I love you". I gave in and painted it, but at least I know what reads beneath the paint. *wink*

I gave the table an old look. I painted it black, took sandpaper to the edges and lacquered it. I had purchased these handles for the table five years ago and they finally found their place.
I hadn't noticed previously, but a trio of acorns is found in the design:

I also gave the cream trim in the kitchen some much needed touch-ups and gave the basement door a repaint.
I just love how paint makes everything fresh.
Happy Wednesday...
