Fly Wagon Ride

I am a car nut.  I check out their profiles, amenities and am a sucker for a manual transmission and high horsepower.  What I cannot put my finger on is why I like wagon-style vehicles as much as I love an Audi R8.  Perhaps it's the practical side of me...

I am not keen on these:

A super car front end cannot compensate for the wagon rear end on this conglomeration.

Fugly.

Was it the numerous viewings of National Lampoon's Family Vacation that inspired me?  I dunno...

But, I drive this: the '07 Ford Focus ZXW (ZXW = Zippy X-hilerating Wagon?).  And I love it, even though it's been tagged as a grocery-getter and I have heard all the Ford jokes one can muster up.  Now, to be mildly hip, I did buy a black one and tinted the windows, so it's pimpin'!  *wink, wink*

But I am diggin' these...

The Saab.

Beloved by most Canadians: the all-wheel drive Subaru.

Mmmm.  Audi Quattro!

And my new fave....

The all-new Cadillac CTS wagon.  Delish.

Happy Hump Day.

Cheers!

oooooh no gurl, you did not just diss the paneled station wagon. I have a warm place in my heart for those. We had one as a kid. I roll in a wagon myself. I dig the wagon.

I learned to drive in a family truckster. It was lovely.

I am the daughter of a car freak, and sort of have the gene. I love a good wagon. Had that focus wagon and as cute as it was, it drove like crap. Right now both the other half and I both have subaru wagons (outback and forester) and love love love them. Gotta have 4 wheel drive in the north.

I also am in love with the little volvo V50 wagon that sort of has the focus silhouette.

I think I have just outed myself as a car geek.

I L*O*V*E my wagon! Originally ought to haul stuff to crafts shows (it's loaded up right now!) but also perfect for yard sales + picking up furniture finds on the side of he road!

My dream car is a Volvo 240 Wagon. I don't know what that says about be, that my dream car can be purchased for a couple thousand.
